I always knew that I would be able to find common ground with local designers and boutiques. As ya know, I love fashion myself. However, it has reached a new level after chatting with Suzanne Biggins of Made Ya Wanna Accessorize. When I asked her “What drew you to start designing jewellery? Had you always had a passion for creating?” her response was like she had peered into my soul of growing up as a fashion wannabe child. “My grandma had drawers full of fancy scarves, sparkly jewellery and shelves with pretty hats and shoes!  I always thought she dressed like a movie star”… Um, ya me too Suzy!! Whether I knew it or not at the time, my Grams had an immense impact on why I load on the accessories… Every. Single. Day. So, cheers to all the fashion forward grandmas out there slaying the game at 80!

Although Suzy has been designing accessories and jewellery for over twenty years now, Made Ya Wanna Accessorize began its inception in 2010 with the launch of its trade mark (woo hoo!) and has expanded its customer base all around the world. Get it girl! From nature, to day-to-day activities, Suzy finds inspiration everywhere she goes (which is also why she keeps a notebook handy for those impromptu bursts of genius).

“It is important that my jewellery is artistic and unique but also functional and comfortable. Quality is very important to me.  I use genuine gemstones and fine metals such as sterling silver, 99% silver, gold fill (not plated) and copper.” Preach, Biggins.

If you haven’t checked out Made Ya Wanna Accessorize’s Facebook page, or website. It’s almost poetic the way the pictures of her work jump off the digital page. It’s not a one-size fits all at MYW - there’s pieces for everyone, including women’s & men’s pieces. Are you a badass looking for black horn onyx or a leather tassel necklace? Maybe a beaded choker for a music festival, or that perfect aquamarine colour for that wedding you’re going to? Yep, she’s got it all.

“My goal is for everyone who visits my boutique to find their treasured piece and exactly what they have been looking for.”
