Back for a second year at Saskatoon Fashion & Design Festival, Missie & Tife Couture Bridal & Special Events Accessories will be showcasing their newest collection in the Fall 2018 SFDF Runway.
A primarily self-taught designer, Sola, Creative Director/Owner of Missie & Tife, has been designing jewellery and hair accessories for over 15 years. Sola isn’t afraid to admit that she designs for queens, believing everyoneis a queen: “Some just wear their crowns more boldly than others.” Can I get an amen!?
As a Yoruba-Canadian, Sola’s creations are inspired by her own culture and nature, which is only fitting considering ‘nature’ itself depicts the perfect balance between bold and delicate. And if Missie & Tife is all about the balance between boldness and delicacy, sign me up — today, ‘cause that’s my jam.
Alongside having amazing bridal and special events collections, Sola’s everyday accessories are just as incredible. Do you think floral inspired crowns are just for special events? Take inspo from Sola’s favourite designer, Manolo Blahnik, and consider pairing one with your favourite white t-shirts and jeans with one of her elegant pieces for a polished, casual look. As a self-proclaimed luxury designer, we can’t wait to see what ethereal and slightly whimsical designs Sola will be bringing to SFDF’s 2018 festival!
