Unveiled Dress Co. will be celebrating their second anniversary this summer. The company is locally owned and operated by Fresh Group of Companies, and I was able to experience first hand the exceptional customer service. I recently sat down with the General Manager of Unveiled, Aimee Morgan, who explained to me it's their mission to provide a shopping experience like no other in Saskatoon.

Unveiled Dress Co. offers the largest selection of bridal gowns in the prairies, and they are proud to be the exclusive carrier of world renown designers. Designers such as Madison James which was designed exclusively for Kleinfields, Pronovias & La Sposa from Spain, Canadian label Paloma Blanca and Mikaella made from 100% silk and made in Canada, and finally every little girl's dream, the Disney Princess Collection (and yes, they have the Elsa dress!).
Aimee and I discussed how to prepare to shop for the perfect dress. First, Aimee suggests wearing nude underwear which will help eliminate any unsightly lines and give you a better idea of the finished product. She also suggests bringing a pair of shoes in the heel height you foresee yourself wearing. This will also help determine the length the gown needs to be ordered in, and will give your consultant a more accurate time on delivery. Also, something borrowed? Bring it along and the consultants will be more than happy to assist! Last, it's recommended to book an appointment with one of the fabulous consultants! By doing so, the consultants will guarantee you the one on one service every bride needs and deserves.

As I've never been a bride (I suppose it's true what they say 'Always a bridesmaid, never the bride'), I was unsure on how far in advance to purchase a gown. Aimee suggests 10 months for Bridal. She understands that may sound lengthy, however, each gown is made to order. On average, designers carried at Unveiled Dress Co. give a 6-8 month delivery time (depending on the season and the gown of course). Also, by ordering the gown 10 months in advance it will allow time for any alterations needed which can take around 8 weeks.
Unveiled Dress Co. also completes alterations in store. They have in-house seamstresses that complete all fittings and alterations right in the boutique. But make sure to book an appointment, these gals tend to book up fast!

Unveiled not only carries wedding gowns, they carry bridal accessories including an assortment of veils, sparkly bracelets, earrings, necklaces, and gorgeous hair accessories. Unveiled can outfit your bridesmaids, flower girl, and the lovely Mother of the Bride. Additionally they have a large selection available of formal gowns suited towards, Prom, convocation, gala's, sweet 16, and engagement parties!
The order time for formal dresses (everything but bridal gowns), is around 5 months. Most of the formal lines take 10 - 12 weeks for delivery so 5 months in advance is recommended in case alterations are needed.

Akins is a local designer from Saskatoon, who has experience designing for stage, dance, and film. Tara Akins has also designed her own Bridal line that was carried in a Vancouver boutique, and she has even designed flower girl dresses for actor Zach Galafianakis's nieces for his wedding.
