Saskatchewan Fashion Weekend will be held at Remai Modern in beautiful downtown Saskatoon, will feature two days and evenings of runway shows complimented by our two day marketplace.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

• Applications are adjudicated by the SFA board. 

• Applications are open to, but not limited to: designers, boutiques, retailers, artisans, and entrepreneurs.

• Due to the volume of submissions only successful applicants will be contacted.

• Subleasing vendor space is prohibited. 

• Applicants are solely responsible for obtaining all permits, licences, and insurance, reasonably required to sell your products at SFW Marketplace. 

• Applicants are solely responsible for all staff and workers in their booths.

• Vendors are expected to be open on time and close no sooner than the end of the event. A collection fee of $100 per day will be collected from vendor if not open all hours specified.

• Free Structure: SFW has a booth fee starting at $150 (Booth size determines price). THIS IS DUE WHEN YOU APPLY. Please follow the pay link below to submit fee with this application. You will not be accepted to sell without your fee being paid. Fees are non refundable due to any cancellations.

Are you ready to showcase your artistry on one of the biggest stages in Saskatchewan’s fashion industry? Saskatchewan Fashion Weekend is calling all bold, creative, and passionate Makeup Artists to join our glam squad for an unforgettable weekend of runway magic, collaboration, and innovation.

This is your chance to:

• Work alongside top designers, stylists, and models in a high-caliber, professional runway production.

We are on the look out for volunteers to help with everything from leadership roles, set-up, tear down, marketing, hosting, backstage, front of house, and more. They are heartbeat of our events and take our vision from dream to reality. Meeting great people, helping the community, letters of recommendation, and a free festival pass are just some the perks you can expect as a volunteer.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

• Volunteers work on various tasks when leading up to, executing, and tearing down the event.

• If you have any limitations we will ensure your role suits your skillset and abilities.

*We require 2 shifts from you over the week (6 days) and in return, you will receive one full festival pass to take in the conference, shows, and marketplace to use while not lending a hand!

• Designers and boutiques have three options to participate in SFA Runway: Show Only, Show and Sell. 

• If you are a Midtown Shopping Centre Retailer, please apply under the application form for IN FASHION.

• Both accessory and clothing designers are encouraged to apply to show and/or sell. 

• All designers & boutiques from throughout Saskatchewan and outside of the province are welcome to apply. 

• All designers & boutiques will be included in our Media Kit sent to local, regional, and national contacts. 

• As a designer you will receive one full festival pass. We encourage you to attend the SFA Conference.

We will determine model availability from all agencies and freelancers and provide a short list of models (including photos, measurements and videos) for designers to chose from for their show. Diverse model selection information will be sent out August 1 2025.  

• We ask that designers present a minimum of 10 looks, new this year only 10 looks due to keeping the overall show time between 3 hours. Thank you for your understanding.

The event will be held at Remai Modern in Saskatoon complimented by SFW Marketplace. 

What do Art and Fashion have in common?  Just about everything. Art and Fashion have always been pretty good bedfellows. Looking back at the history of both reveals connections and influencing movements in both directions. Art trends affect Fashion trends and vice versa The Wearable Art Show & Gala celebrates this beautiful marriage. 

We are calling for artists, as in other years, to make wearable art pieces in several different categories.  The only constraint is that submitted wearable works of art HAVE TO BE WEARABLE. This is an opportunity for artists to unbridle their imagination and explore materials and processes not normally used in the construction of clothing, or art for that matter.

Prizes to win for each wearable art category:

First Prize: “Best in Show” A complimentary invitation to the 2026 Emma International Collaboration at Ness Creek sponsored by the EMMA International Collaboration.

Cash prizes for each Category: 1st $500, 2nd $300 sponsored by the JackMillikin Centre.

• This is a paid modeling opportunity. Models are paid $25 per walk. 

• We welcome agency and freelance models to apply. 

• This is a paid position. If chosen to model for any designers/merchants you will be paid $25 per walk! Please note: If you are an agency model, all agency fees will be paid directly to the agency by SFW where their fees will come off the $25 model fee and then your agency will pay you. All fees will include agency fees and must be paid to the agency by model.

• Please note application fees of $25 must be paid online at the time of application. Please use the application link on the application "Model Application Fee". All applicants must pay this fee to be eligible to be chosen for the SFA Offical Model List. This is non refundable.

• We request one headshot, one full body shot, and a walking video to be included with all applications. The application has guidelines for you to follow, please read carefully.

• To be considered for the show, models must be available for all fittings/training for Saskatchewan Fashion Weekend which are scheduled

• To be considered for the shows, models must be available select their availability on the application and will be considered for the shows throughout the week based on availablity.

• An SFA Offical Model List will be selected by the SFA Model Director. The SFA Offical Model List will be presented to all artists, designers and boutiques showing in the event, who will make their selection of the models they wish to work with.  

• If chosen for ICON Indigenous Runway, Saskatchewan Wearable Art Gala, SFA Runway all creative looks will be determined by the SFW creative team.

• If chosen for the IN FASHION Presented by Midtown Shopping Centre, you will be required to do your own hair and makeup in a natural look style.

• Designers/Merchants are looking for a diverse look in models for SFA. All ages, shapes, forms, and genders are welcome to apply. No experience necessary.

• We appreciate all those interested in modeling for SFW.
